Today our fun team of librarians offered a “Reading Week”-themed library storytime for the Oviedo community.
Lisa and Michael read books about books and taught the kids about the different kinds of books we have in our library. No kids books, no picture books: just ‘grown-up’ books about the Bible.
(Editor’s note: The dispensationalists would beg to differ on that point. Their books have lots of pictures, and they are proud of it).
Lisa hid children’s books all over the library for the kids to do a little search-n-find. They followed this up with a craft in which they made books as well as bookmarks. Never too early to get kids started on quire construction and other fine details of codicology.
